Shark Island Productions

Shark Island Productions is an award-winning documentary film production company and social impact philanthropic located in Sydney, Australia. Formed in 2001 by AFI Award-winning producer and director Ian Darling, Shark Island Productions creates extensive education, outreach and community engagement campaigns with its films.

Assistant Editor

  • Collaborated in the editing of feature films and short projects - including the AACTA Nominated Documentaries The Final Quarter and Life After the Oasis (Sydney Film Festival 2019).

  • Conducted research and analysis of historical events to shape the construction of the narrative.

  • Administrative support and troubleshooting related to production operations.

  • Design of promotional items, titles, credits, and motion graphics.

Documentary filmmaker Ian Darling AO re-examines the final three years of Sydney Swans footballer Adam Goodes' playing career. Made entirely from archival footage, photos and interviews sourced from television, radio and newspapers, the film reviews the national conversation surrounding race that took place over this period.

The Final Quarter was selected into the 2019 Sydney Film Festival - and was announced as one of the first 25 films.

10 years after the release of THE OASIS documentary, Major Paul Moulds travels around the state in search of 'his kids', the homeless young people from Sydney's inner city refuge, exploring how they have fared over the past decade in the wider world beyond his care.

In transit between various lives he discusses and evaluates various aspects of the state and federal social welfare system – what has served the young people well and what has failed them.

Spectre Studios designs virtual reality experiences for feature films, gaming markets, and corporate solutions. Through their work, Spectre captures unique life stories, tackles social and personal issues, and shines a light on underrepresented areas of humanity. Since 2018, Spectre also offers services in motion capture, data capture, and XR film experiences.

Crow Crow Productions is an independent production company that focuses on the development of new Australian film and theatre works. The company has it roots in regional Australia and its major goals is to assists regional artists in bridging the gap between the creative opportunities available for artists in rural areas and those in metropolitan areas.
